Shoulder position
In the last few months, I’ve done a series of weekly tips focused on shoulder stretches. A key theme was understanding that the stretch is significantly affected by the position of your shoulders.
When you move through these exercises, go slow and think about your shoulder position. Let the shoulders soften down from your ears. Try tightening or pulling the armpits down. Are the shoulders forward or back or in the middle?
Finding the best benefit from yoga is not about the most extreme movement. It’s about moving with awareness. Sometimes, the smallest change can have the biggest impact. So move slow and small.
